Where does your/our grief live?
It can often feel like so much is slipping through our fingers — or already has.
Loved ones,
relationships,
hopes and aspirations
slipping away.
Collective and vicarious losses amassing by the day.
Cherished memories that only grow more distant in the rearview.
Even the necessary and wanted transitions of life can feel like losing.
Can we — do we — dare acknowledge that there’s some pain here about that? Some emotional hurt? Some grief?
Maybe more than just “some”?
What’s here for you about all of this?
I’ve been asking myself the same question.
Perhaps whatever’s here has something to say that’s worth paying attention to. A knowing that’s meant to be heard, received, honored, and — possibly — carried forward.
A knowing that the expansiveness of gentle mercy is strong enough to meet and hold.
